Our off-gridness just got an upgrade! Yes, this is a compost toilet. Yes, it is what you think it is—It turns waste into fertile dirt for plants. No more needing to drain black water! No more needing to haul sewage into town to dump sites. Now, with this “investment level 
” priced toilet, we can go Matt Damon from Martian for our homestead garden next year. We might even grow potatoes next year too! Video to come on this upgrade soon…

- Rachel McCash CroninLeah Kemeny Rangel yes we add wood shavings to it (you can see the bag next to the toilet) and it needs to sit/stirred for a minimum of 6 months. This toilet has a stir handle for the storage chamber. Then we mix the matured compost with top soil or whatever type soil for the garden!
