I did it!! 🎉🎤😭

130 applications.

23 selected to audition.

And… 11 chosen to be TEDx speakers.

From 130…. 11 were chosen. And I’m one of those 11. 😭😍🎤

I joined Toastmasters— a public speaking club that meets every Friday to practice speaking, speech writing, leadership and confidence.👩‍💻

I also joined a speaker mastermind group coaching program lead by the incredible Sandra Baker Lamb that helped me prepare every step of the way specifically for this event. (THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!! We did it!!!!)🎤

Living in my office, the sound booth and in my thoughts for 3 months while I carefully curated and crafted my message—randomly pulling out my phone everywhere for anytime inspiration hit to add it to my message.🎧 Listening, rewriting, editing, recording, listening, practicing, writing, thinking, walking, LISTENING, meditating and more until I felt my application was ready, then doing it all over again for my audition.

What you don’t know: 👇🏼I’ve been working towards this for YEARS. This wasn’t my first audition. I was selected to audition a few years ago for TEDxMileHigh in Denver and did not advance.

Fast forward a few years, hundreds of hours of prep, aligning with the right groups, coaches and tools—and ….here I am.

This was NOT easy. And the next 3 months will be another round of the whirlwind of writing, recording, rehearsing, listening, preparing, practicing, performing, rewriting, editing, listening and more.

But I’m so HONORED and so excited for this incredible opportunity!!! This is a literal DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME!!! 😍😭
