Captains log: City to Gritty

The universe wants me to master: GRATITUDE

Gratitude for the beauty of nature.

Gratitude for clean, running water.

Gratitude to drive to a gym with hot water to shower.

Gratitude for time freedom to drive anywhere needed at any time.

Gratitude for electricity and power.

Gratitude to charge my phone with our cars.

Gratitude for my health.

Gratitude to have a roof over our heads and a bed to sleep on with warm blankets.

Gratitude for laundry mats + clean clothes.

Gratitude to know I have everything I need.

Gratitude for the acres and acres of forest to explore.

Gratitude ??

If I can master gratitude for exactly where I’m at now—to saver every moment when I turn on the water to wash the dishes, to enjoy the hot food from the propane and the magic of pantry items that can provide nutrition regardless of working appliances—

If I can master the beauty of every sunrise in the clouds and sunset over the mountains—

If I can master the art of every crackle and twinkle of our nightly campfire for after the kids go to bed overlooking the city lights of Colorado Springs—

If I can master gratitude for being still and disconnected from technology and allowing myself to appreciate each moment for all that it is—

If I can master and radiate this gratitude—this love for all that we are creating now—-

IMAGINE the level of gratitude we will radiate when our cabin is built. When the lights turn on from a switch. When the kids are playing in their giant loft with their secret stairs to the playroom. When I can get up after bedtime without waking everyone up. When I can turn on my computer again. When I can wash clothes at home. When I can walk out on my private deck with a mug of hot tea barefoot without worry for the wildlife of the night. Can you imagine it? I can. ?✨⛰

COMMENTS:

  • Mario J McCash Golly gee Rachel – it looks like a talk given by the General Relief Society President at an annual World LDS Women’s Conference! Maybe you could end up becoming a future Church General Authority. You got the chops for it (yes, just one of my best compliments I could ever give you). Way to go kiddo, very, very nice. It’s something to remember and keep close & tight in mind & heart.1Delete or hide this

    • Rachel McCash Cronin Love you see speaking and leading! Though I’m not that religion, those are definitely my passions and I do see myself doing them soon on other platforms! ?
  • Brooke Weisbender-Wadsworth Yesssss! You’ve got this ??
  • Michael T Hoover It’s really true! Such teal and sudden changes can be a challenge to get a grip on, but your awareness of potential gratitude will make it much better…. Thanks Rachel for the inspiration!
  • Wayne D Gray Looking good!
