‼️OMG!!!! ‼️This guy was right next to where we sleep!!! I went outside to take out the trash and saw our trash can was gone!! It was pushed down the mountainside. Luckily the lock kept most of the trash inside. But he still got some out. I immediately got the kids and cat inside and then stood up on our rock formations to see if I could spot the bear and I found him relaxing right near our RV!!! We have removed everything he might be attracted to. Bears can smell up to 20 miles away so it might take a few weeks for him to totally distance himself. My hubs rushed back when I told him the news and he fired a few rounds to scare him away. Scary and super cool to see such a huge creature in the wild!!! 🐻 ‼️

- Kate Francis We used to have a bear trap near our house. I remember many mornings helping my dad pick up scattered trash with tooth marks in it. And many years later, a baby black bear ripped open my rabbit hutch and killed my rabbit. 😑

- Brittany Christensen Unless he feels threatened, he won’t harm you. You just need to remember to not leave and food or drinks in your car. And keep all your garbage locked up. I deal with bears all the time where I live. If you make yourself big and loud, they will go away
