Captains Log: City to Gritty:

Survival instructors use the acronym STOP, which is read in the following order: Stop, Observe, Think, Plan and act. This whole process of learning to live-actually learning to live-meaning, securing water, food, shelter, clean sanitation, keeping our children safe from the wilderness and wildlife, winter storms and more-has deeply grown me as a person. When threats to survival pop up, both Todd and I have truly become experts over the past 3 months at Stopping, Observing, Thinking, Planning and taking action. Mistakes out here mean getting injured, getting sick, or worse. But the joys in accomplishment when the plan works is overwhelming. Todd super insulated the trailer, we invested in high quality snow tires, we are armed to protect ourselves against intruders or wildlife attacks and are learning to identify animal tracks, listen and recognize safety vs danger.

But survival mindset takes a toll on creativity. Takes a toll on abundance mindset. Takes a toll on time freedom.

We are grateful that spirit energy is so profound out here in the stillness of the trees and forest. Though in survival mindset, we both have BIG announcements coming over the next week on projects we’ve been dedicating to and results from our action.

It’s exciting, outside our comfort zones, and has triggered inner child battles between my past and my present. But ultimately, when you are ready to level up, the universe prepares you. We’ve been PREPARED for this next step and excited to share what is coming soon! ✨????

  • Nicco Macintyre These are the kinds of life experience that bonds people forever.
    Kinda jealous, actually.
Wish I had that view to 3d print a whole homestead and just vanish, lol
    • Rachel McCash Cronin Definitely is! And do it!! Start going out and look at some plots! We started looking 200% not serious. Wouldn’t even get a realtor. Just went with whoever showed up from our inquiry. It’s fun to land shop and get the wheels going!
  • Handlebar Henry Preparation is always no. 1 on my list
    • Rachel McCash Cronin Always!!
    • Handlebar Henry An example..Hurricane Katrina..I upped our ALL of our coverage 30% above FULL coverage just 3 months before storm hit. Recovered a lot of tax free $s. A huge amount of extra..after we sued for remainder if what we were owed. Always hope for the best..plan for the worst.
