One day, you will have everything you want right now. And when you’re there, you won’t feel like your dream “came true”. Instead, you’ll see how it only continues into new wants, new desires and new dreams. Your first big wins are never the finish line. Instead, it’s the beginning of a new race for something greater you didn’t think possible before. This is one of the big things no one told me about personal growth and success. I used to think, “when I achieve this, I will have “made it!!””
Only to achieve that and realize there is so much more. It’s all about perspective. It’s all about increasing standards and tolerance levels until they are normal. Then choosing to join a new comfort zone that scares you until it doesn’t and then choosing to be scared again and again—reinventing new levels of normal forever.
To be honest, this process is fascinating and exhausting and exhilarating at the the same time. I’ve basically been scared for decades lol. I was scared to get married and become a military wife and move away from my family. I was scared to live on base and once that was comfy, even more scared to leave base when we bought our first house. I was scared to give birth naturally and become a mother and then do it again at home 3 years later. And once that was comfy, I was scared when we decided to leap into the unknown and sell our house, buy 35 acres and renovate a tiny, moldy RV into our home. The list goes on with more and more scary things like private school and thinking “everyone was rich and lived in million dollar homes” only to realize most everyone was just like us—doing the best they can in regular homes and wanting the best for their kids. Who would have thought! Haha
This past week, we’ve been pretty stressed. We are working on up-leveling again and it’s SO HARD . But, then I looked around and realized—WOW. At one point, where I am now was all I ever wanted. Just a few years ago, all I wanted was exactly where I am now and I need to continue to find the JOY in the journey. And not get bogged down over already knowing the next steps and wanting to be there yesterday lol.
If this is you, remember, where you are now is exactly where you wanted to be at one point. Where you are now is the next big step in your own personal journey in your wants, goals and dreams. And JUST KEEP GOING! Because you are on your way—even though it’s hard. Even though it’s uncomfortable. You are on your way. Keep going
