Me: **takes 7 hours to pack everyone—organize outfits for 3 people, plus ski clothes, plus swim clothes, plus holiday clothes, plus nighttime routine needs, plus supplements, plus snacks, plus toys, plus stuff for work so I can hit my business goals, plus bathroom items, everything labeled, etc etc etc

Husband: **takes 5 min to stuff his backpack full of random items and claims he’s good to go

MEN— explain yourselves!! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

    Since we ARE “NOT” Fashionistas, packing is easy… a couple of pairs of socks a second pair of underwear- just in case they’re needed and perhaps a second pair of pants and a shirt… just incase we spill something on them and VOILA we’re good to go.

    • Tom Smokoff No need to imagine it’s what ALL men think as they pack their… BACKPACK… The question really should be.. what the heck takes you women soooooo long to pack? … We could, woulda been to our destination quicker!

And I have young kids, so planning how many pull ups, nighttime pull ups —ahhh just remembered I need to add swim diapers!! Lol And we have sooo many events between skiing, holiday parties, Christmas, family pictures, swimming at the hotel, bedtime routine stuff for the kids, date night clothes, birthday party stuff as it’s also my youngest’s birthday, etc etc. I’d guess it would only take me about 1 or 2 hours to pack just myself. But add the kids and 7+ events— and it’s a 27 step process with PowerPoint debriefing Hahahaha

    • Rachel McCash Cronin Tom Smokoff ahh yes!! We are road tripping as well so I’m also thinking salt, sand bag, shovel—definitely first aid kit…. and this is how it becomes an all day event 🤪🙌🏻
    • Tom Smokoff Rachel McCash Cronin … lol… I have all that and more in my military backpack, including a survivor 90 gallon per hour hand operated, water filtration device and a fire starter. If there’s an earthquake, I’m ready.

It’s in our genes and not one is better or worse but obviously being a couple which include both has value. He makes sure we stay on track and we make sure all the possible outcomes are accounted for 😉

  • Jessica Zabel The struggle is real! Packing for 5 people: I spend days making checklists, gathering everything together, organizing, packing the bags, figuring out what I items I’m forgetting… 🤪 Then Chris comes in and packs his one bag in like 5 minutes.
  • Kayla Lee When I pack for myself I’m somewhere in between.

    I start with socks and underwear, count them as I throw them in my suitcase.

    Then I move onto jeans and tops. Same thing, pull em off the hangers and count 😂

    Then I go into the bathroom and have a little song “toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, and rinse” put that in a plastic bag and into the suitcase it goes 🤣

    Then I grab random stuff I think I might need till my suitcase is full 🤣🤣🤣

    The whole thing takes about 20minutes. Lmao

  • Mark Bore I follow Rick Steves’ philosophy of packing light. Obviously you have to plan a few extra things for winter but the basic philosophy holds.   • Saraw Violet I end up packing for my man because If I don’t we get to the other end of where ever we’re going and he only brought two pairs of underwear for a week. 🤦🏻‍♀️ lol might be because I would rather know we’re all set then hear him say we have to go shopping because I forgot XYZ. 😂
